    Role:

    Intrinsic is looking for an Automation and Controls Engineer to join our Applications and Automation team. The ideal candidate has a passion for all robotic things, demonstrated knowledge of industry best practices using robots with industrial partners, and the ability to deliver results as part of a dynamic, cross-functional team.

    Areas we expect you to make an impact:

    • Concept new robotic automation applications and scope the effort and cost to build
    • Take ownership of designing and implementing rapid innovative R&D robotic automation workcells (from selecting hardware, electrical design to Robot, PLC and HMI programming).
    • Incorporate knowledge of industrial control systems to establish a standard for hardware selection and PLC software.
    • Source and integrate best in-class technology products into automation workcells.

    We are looking to expand our growing legal team by bringing on a Product Counsel, reporting to the General Counsel. As Product Counsel for our company, you will have responsibility for helping to grow and launch our products and services, working alongside world-class innovators to identify and solve legal issues related to the project’s product development and business goals.     As a Product Manager, you will be at the intersection of product strategy, definition, planning, and execution. Despite being in the early stages of product development, our product team is tightly connected with our engineering and business teams. To address the ambiguity and volatility of a startup, your goal will be to add structure and lead the engineering team from zero to one. The ideal candidate will be passionately curious, unafraid of risk, and a respected driver of process. You will gather, drive, and establish concrete requirements that enable the team to deliver high value, high performance solutions to business customers.

    The Product Manager role has three main pillars:

    • Planning and Leading Product Development: Define and deliver high-value customer-facing products from internal prototypes and partner trials. Listen to customers and partners, experiment and build, rapidly iterate and learn from data (qualitative and quantitative) to reach product-market fit, and eventually scale.
    • Enabling Teams: Build the conditions and dynamics needed to create a balanced, robust engineering team that produces excellent, groundbreaking work.
    • Supporting Platform Building: Facilitating brokerage in B2B value networks using technology stacks as an interaction medium.

    Areas we expect you to make an impact:

    • Develop a highly ambitious yet practical product roadmap that pushes the boundaries of how robotics and automation applications are being developed and run today

Building and testing our systems for this heterogeneous, non-Google3 system will be an exciting challenge.     Role:

    As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Functional Safety on our robotics team, you will have the opportunity to work with some amazing and talented people, who also happen to be working on highly creative and ambitious efforts. You’ll develop and oversee the processes and tools that are used for the development of new safety software. You will coordinate our development teams to develop software that ensures humans are safe around robots while making these robots more approachable and adaptable.     • Support product teams with managing active work items and backlogs, deconflicting necessary work, and resource tracking.
    • Support business development and product managers with scoping technical work, roadmaps, and timelines for external partners.

    What you should have:

    • BA/BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Strong track-record of effective technical project management skills: software stack and/or HW/SW systems engineering, project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, process documentation, priority alignment, and well-developed communication skills.
    • Expertise in the development of safety-critical software, ideally according to IEC 61508, ISO 13849, DO-178B or similar standards.

    What we hope you have:

    • Experience with robotics, industrial automation or manufacturing.
    • Prior experience with establishing safety capability and setting up development processes for software in functional safety, ideally according to IEC 61508, ISO 13849, or related standards.
    • Technical expertise in development tools and development methods for safety-critical software.
    • Comfortable working on early-stage projects in an environment with ambiguity and change.
    • Experience in the development of embedded and real-time systems for motion control.
    • Ability to set and drive the technical strategy while also having the capability to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute more effectively and deliver products on time and within budget. A sense of urgency in driving execution.
